African Countries Stress Need for Data, Financing in VNR Main Messages

The 17 countries from the African Group that will present voluntary national reviews of progress on SDG implementation at the July HLPF have released their VNR main messages: Algeria; Burkina Faso; Cameroon; Central African Republic; Chad; the Republic of the Congo; Côte d’Ivoire; Eswatini; Ghana; Lesotho; Mauritania; Mauritius; Rwanda; Sierra Leone; South Africa; Tanzania; and Tunisia. Each government's full VNR report is expected to be submitted to the UN Secretariat by 14 June 2019.
